A fine large French rectangular hall or over-mantel mirror from the 19th century, featuring a moulded surround with a beautiful patinated gold-leaf - perfect for use as a free standing or dressing mirror or equally as a wall mirror which can be hung either portrait (vertically) or landscape (horizontally).
The wide gilded frame has a decorative geometric pattern etched into the surface on the top, bottom and sides, with an earthy painted cream bole border to the outer edge of the mirror frame., and a continuous row of tiny gesso beads neatly set to the inner edge framing the original mirror plate.
