An elegant French bureau writing desk (or table) of ebonized mahogany, in the Louis XVI style.
Featuring a moulded top with black leather writing surface and extended rounded corners, over a frieze with paneled sides and gilt ormolu accents, five fitted drawers to front and five matching faux drawer facings to back, each drawer with brass escutcheons and gilt ormolu accents, with two pull-out writing leaves to right and left.
The whole resting on fluted and tapered legs with brass caps.
