A handsome French semainier or tall chest of walnut with marble top, featuring a slightly narrower top drawer over six larger drawers beneath. The drawer fronts with beautiful carefully matched walnut veneers. The six larger drawers have escutcheons and a key for opening. Flanked on either side by turned columns with decorative patinated brass capitals. Set upon turned feet.

Seven drawers to this fine piece, one for each day of the week, la semaine!
