A fine period Georgian vernacular reading chair from England, circa 1820, featuring an elegant frame with a comfortable upholstered seat.
The horizontal slats to the back are united by two vertical rails forming a small square design, set within a larger open square. The swept arms are gently curved under to the front with two mahogany rails beneath.
The chair seat has been reupholstered in neutral linen and trimmed with antiqued brass studs for extra detail. Raised on tapered mahogany legs with original rolling casters.
