An English folio stand for art and engravings from the Edwardian era, patented by Bunyard of London.
The folio stand is made like a book, compressed paper pulp with a leathered exterior which is finished with a gilt and tooled border.
It is supported by a ebonised wood A-frame stand which closes with brass hinges.
It adjusts from closed to horizontal by means of brass retractable feet - the "Bunyard Patent" mechanism.
Further art display is provided by a small easel that slides up from the back.
Note wear to leather border and there is some bowing to the boards
